Based on our listening to participants at our annual leadership retreat, we invite you to join a cohort to help one another learn about your unique contexts and the innovative ministry opportunities in them. The cohorts will be for six months, where we will foster deeper discussions, create a space for support, and empower ministry experiments. These are open to both clergy and laity within Evergreen.
Reimagining Church
This cohort is focused on processing how your churches are facing issues of vision, identity, and practice. In the current context of our ministries, what are we called to transform and adjust? It could be a church name, a ministry structure, or something else. Let's explore and discern together.
Reimagining Our Stories
This cohort works with our participants to explore how we tell the stories of our church and ourselves, and how they connect with the Gospel. How do we effectively share about our faith and the ministries we are doing at our church to the world around us? How can we renew our enthusiasm for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in a world longing to hear about Truth and Hope?
WellBEing Cohort for Individuals and Systems
This cohort, facilitated by Rev. Morgan Fletcher, is a safe place to explore what holistic and healthy practices look like while balancing the challenges of ministry. We want to see shalom in our individual leaders and the systems in which they operate. We will have two separate cohorts, one focused on well-being work for individuals and one for systems within the church.
Next Generation/Emergent Ministers
A cohort for those about to embark on a path of ministry and for those entering ministry as a second career. This cohort aims to create a safe place to share and explore the journey of ministry that lies ahead.
